Septoplasti

Photobucket
For the last 25 years I really haven't been able to breathe through my nose. Severe allergies, nose-revolt around smoke, and a deviated septum have pretty much made my nose useless. This month I dropped $10 on the Kaiser co-pay and had it carved up. (At that cost I might as well tear my ACL!) Anyhow, so far so good...

Hello, I was doing a search for septoplasi, (i think thats how its spelt) as i just got back from hospital after having this operation on my nose, its still very painful, and bleeding loads, just wanted to know how long it took to notice any changes, healing, breathing again, taste etc..
Thanks, Andy

Andy,
The bleeding stopped within a week and the swelling subsided a month later. What was incredible was that my most congested nostril opened up immediately but the less constricted one has gone the other direction. On balance I can breathe like never before but it's still not 100%.
